GENERAL TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION
The Red Wing Public Schools transportation department serves over 750 bus stop locations within the community. Bus stops are designed with consideration of safety, shortest over-all ride time for students and cost efficiency. Red Wing also follows a "Neighborhood Bus Stop System", students walk or bike a few blocks to a common location such as a neighborhood park or corner and get on the bus with other students of varying ages from the neighborhood. Eligibility to ride the district buses is determined by the following criteria:
Grades K - 4: Students who live more than 1 miles from school Grades 5 - 7: Students who live more than 1.5 miles from school Grades 8 - 12: Students who live more than 2 miles from school Transportation Links
