Physical Science
| The year starts out with review on Scientific Method and metric system. Learning how to be organized, think logically, hypothesis, and conclusions when working with experiments. Using lab equipment correctly. First semester starts out with physics. Learning about motion, speed acceleration, forces, energy, and pressure. Second semester students will learn what matter is, its properties, and reactions. What is an acid and a base. What are nuclear reactions. How to use and get information from periodic table is stressed. We will be involved in many hand on experiments to understand these concepts. Using all our knowledge we will conduct an experiment to determine what the best paper towel is. The student will design the experiment and write it up. |
