Enrollment Process for Sunnyside Elementary School
Grades K - 2


 

The following process is recommended for transition of a student(s) from their current (or previous) school to Sunnyside Elementary.
Step 1 –  Complete registration materials (see Student Enrollment webpage), including a release of records for the previous school.  
Step 2 – Contact Sunnyside to schedule a meeting with the principal and/or designee.  The purpose of this meeting is to obtain information about Sunnyside and provide important student and family information to Sunnyside Staff (Principal, Student Services Coordinator and/or School Social Worker).
Step 3 –Take a tour of the building.  Contact Sunnyside to schedule an appointment to tour.  The school principal and/or designee will accompany the parent and child on a walk-through of the building (possibly including short visits to a variety of classrooms).
Step 4 – Sunnyside School staff will contact the previous school to obtain records and information critical to student placement and programming.
Step 5 - Once placed and the start date is determined, parents are encouraged to make an appointment to meet the teacher.
